About Us

The Roswell Men’s Gymnastics Team Booster Club (RMGTBC) is a nonprofit corporation, also known as a 501(c)3 or not-for-profit company, created to support the Roswell Gymnastics Boys Team through encouragement in all aspects of gymnasts’ growth. The RMGTBC operates under the supervision of the City of Roswell & the Friends of Roswell.  

ROSWELL MEN’S GYMNASTICS…

Under the leadership of Felippe Barros Mendonça and the rest of the staff Roswell Men’s Gymnastics Team is recognized as one of the top 9 men’s gyms in the Nation. The quality of our program has attracted college coaches to come view our practices and many of our senior team members have been invited to make multiple college visits. 

Roswell Men’s Gymnastics Team is currently the largest boys team in the state of Georgia. Our 2022-23 Season Team currently has 65 competitive male members and a dedicated rec program where young boys train with the hopes of joining the competitive team.  Our optional team currently has 14  Level 10 boys (8 of which train elite), 5 Level 9’s, 11 Level 8 boys (8 of which train elite). 

We are proud to announce that many of our athletes continue on to compete at division 1 programs around the country.

• Anthony Koppie will graduate in 2023 and has been recruited to compete for Nebraska.
• Max Bereznev will graduate in 2023 and has been signed to compete for Oklahoma.
• Chase Davenport-Mills will graduate in 2023 and has been signed to compete for Ohio.
• Aiden Esval has been recruited to compete for the Air Force Academy. 
• Sunny Pyle has been recruited to compete for the Air Force Academy.
• Toby Laing graduated in 2022 and is now competing for Nebraska.

DURING THE 2021-22 SEASON OUR TEAM EARN/ED…

At the 2022 GA State Championships we earned

• 36 First Places
• 29 Second Places
• 29 Third Places

At the 2022 Region 8 Championships we earned

• 14 First Places
• 22 Second Places
• 18 Third Places 

At the 2022 National Developmental Championships we earned

• 1 First Place
• 2 Second Places
• 3 Third Places

Plus Our Level 10 Team Earned 1st Place

At the 2022 National Developmental Championships four of our Level 10 members earned the right to compete in the U.S. Gymnastics Championships. Chase Davenport-Mills was selected to compete in the Junior division where he earned 1st place in the AA and a spot on the Junior National Team.  Maxim Bereznev, Anthony Koppie, & Toby Liang competed in the senior division against 40 of the best gymnasts, some of whom are Olympic legends! We are super proud of their accomplishments and the Coaching staff that has helped make this possible.  

At the 2022 Nationals Developmental Championships these 4 earned

• Maxim Bereznev placed 1st on vault and 2nd in the All Around
• Chase Davenport-Mills Placed 3rd on Floor
• Anthony Koppie placed 2nd on vault
• Toby Liang placed 3rd on High Bar and place 3rd in the All Around

This past season (2021-22) we also contributed 1 member to the Junior National Team, 2 members to the Region 8 level 10 Elite Team and one member to the Region 8 Level 8 Elite Team. We also had a few members on the alternate list. These athletes were able to represent our gym, the state of Georgia, and Region 8 at the Windy City Invitational in Chicago, Illinois where our Region 8 team competed against two other regions in our nation. The Region 8 Level 10 team and Level 9 and Level 8 teams earned in first place! Region 8 Team member and Roswell Team member Maxim Bereznev earned the highest AA around score at this meet with a 78.6. Maxim and teammate Chase Davenport-Mills were selected to continue to represent Region 8 at the Elite Team Cup held during the Winter Cup. At this meet they along with their fellow Region 8 teammates competed against 54 of the best highschool aged gymnasts from the 9 regions of the USA. They were able to help secure Region 8 Third Place in the Elite Team Cup. Chase Davenport-Mills Place 5th in the nation at this event with 2nd place on Floor and 2nd place on Vault. Maxim Bereznev placed 13th in the All Around and earned 1st place on Vault.
